Sketch for my next piece about mirror image twins.
25% of the world's identical twins are also mirror image twins, when the fertilized egg splits late (around 9-12 days). The twins have the same DNA but have small mirror image differences such as opposite cowlicks (swirl in the opposite direction), opposite side birth marks, mirror finger prints, mirror dental problems, and they are sometimes opposite handed. What I found the most interesting is that in some instances, one twin may be right brain while the other is left brain, which is what I based my illustration on. In theory, they are mirror image twins with opposite personalities.

I like this Maureen. It makes me wish I had a twin.
I like that you showed the twins doing what they are best at based on their different aptitudes and they still get along instead of getting into some unhealthy competition. It ilustrates that we should be ourselves and focus on our own strengths.
Hmmm... interesting start so far! Great subject matter to dive into. I can't wait to see the finished.
Thanks for the comment, Maureen! I agree with Dave. . .I'm excited to see what the finish will look like. I think I'm seeing a little change in style with this one?? I'm diggin' it!
Thanks for the comments!
Yes, I'm giving a different drawing style a try as well as a collage approach.
Personality-wise, I guess my fraternal twin and I are mirrors. I've always considered him more of an 'evil twin'.
I agree with leyland......I think its more of an 'idiot twin' then an evil one though.....
Haha oh no.
It seems that a lot of siblings in general have somewhat mirror personalities too.
